blueply design

The foundation for blueply design started with the dream to create the perfect home to raise a family. We wanted open spaces that supported a family-centered life connected to the outdoors. We fell in love with a lot on Lake Monticello outside Charlottesville, VA and built our family home.

Since starting blueply, I have enjoyed working collaboratively with individuals, couples and families, listening to their ideas and designing spaces that reflect their values and bring them joy. I believe that plentiful natural light, and open, clean spaces are not luxuries, but standards that everyone should have access to. I am passionate about beautiful, functional spaces created through an economy of means.

Whether it is a new home, new business, an addition, remodel or interior custom cabinetry, I am committed to a client-focused process to bring great design into your everyday life.

background

I received my B.S. in Architecture from the University of Virginia and my Master of Architecture from University of Texas in Austin. Before settling in the Charlottesville area, I worked with CORE and Envision Design, award-winning architecture and interiors firms in Washington, DC. During this time I had the opportunity to lead environmental and design-focused projects allowing me to develop my interest in interior architecture and eventually led to my current focus in residential and small commercial interior design.
